Procedure on Supporting Return to Study

This Procedure is one of two that underpins the Policy on Supporting Health, Fitness and Return to Study. The purpose of this Procedure is to ensure that all students who have taken an interruption, or have been suspended, under the Support to Study Procedure have been assessed and confirmed as fit to return to study, that any return is approved and that support, where necessary, is made available upon their return.

Undergraduates, Taught postgraduates and Postgraduate Research students

Your expectations of us under this procedure:

  • Where an interruption or a suspension is expected to be coming to an end, the student should indicate their intention to return to study.
  • The University will need to be reassured that a student is fit to return to study, such as through medical confirmation.
  • The University will identify the appropriate return date, any conditions of return and any continuing support need for the student
