This Policy sets out the requirements for appointment of examiners to examine a doctoral thesis. This policy is intended for use by academic and administrative staff and full-time and part-time postgraduate research students.
This policy sets out the criteria for appointment of your examiners for a doctoral degree. Your supervisor will discuss the nominations with you before they are formally submitted and you can raise any concerns or issues with the examiner panel before the oral examination is arranged.
The University of Manchester should appoint examiners appropriate to assess your research thesis and this policy sets out the criteria by which a supervisor will nominate internal and external examiners.
