This policy contains information for postgraduate research students and academic and administrative staff in Schools and Faculties regarding the supervision of postgraduate research students. The policy document relates to all research degrees across the University, not just doctoral degrees, and also includes collaborative research degrees.
The supervision policy details your responsibilities as a PGR student to remain in touch with your supervisory team and meet deadlines for submitting pieces of work. You must agree a schedule of meeting dates with your main supervisor and plan and monitor your submission of work to set deadlines.
The supervisory team must meet their responsibilities as set out within this policy.
