Guidance on late submission

This guidance sets out the details of what happens if students submit their assessed work later than the published deadline. It accompanies the Policy on Submission of Work for Summative Assessment.

Undergraduates, Taught postgraduates

Our expectations of you under this guidance:

You are expected to adhere to any arrangements that your School or programme team puts in place regarding the assessments you are required to submit. This includes submitting work by any deadlines that are set (unless you have an arrangement in place with DASS for an automatic extension, or if you have already made alternative arrangements with your School or programme team via the mitigating circumstances procedures).

Your expectations of us under this guidance:

Your School or programme team will consider assessed work that is submitted later than the published deadline and will apply penalties to any work which is deemed to be late. This means a deduction of marks, depending on how late the work is submitted.
